I sipped ice cold water from my camel back as I set up my camera. I composed the shot on an outcropping of snow-covered rocks. The air was chilled with a slight breeze echoing through the scree below. I went back to my tent and tried to sleep, waiting for the moon to rise and illuminate the mountains. When I stepped outside back into that crisp alpine air, the scene had transformed into something that felt like a dream. It was too perfect.
